Case Study: From Indoors to Outdoors: Two Stunning Kitchens Transform Chiswick Home

The Art of Outdoor Entertaining: Chiswick’s Custom Kitchen Reveal

Exceptional kitchen design isn’t just about individual spaces - it’s about how they work together. For this Chiswick home, our Home Living Group design team approached the indoor and outdoor kitchens as a singular vision, ensuring flawless material transitions, intuitive flow, and a cohesive aesthetic.

By managing both kitchens under one expert team, every detail was calibrated for harmony, eliminating the all-too-common disconnect between indoor and outdoor designs. The result? A home where evenings transition effortlessly from meal prep at the quartzite island to dining under the stars - all within one beautifully considered environment.

A Home for Gatherings

For the indoor kitchen, the brief was clear: a kitchen that would be the soul of the home - equally suited to quiet family mornings and lively evenings entertaining. To achieve this, we layered textures and finishes with a light touch. Pronorm’s i-Luminate and X-line cabinetry set the tone with their soft glow and clean lines, while fluted walnut veneer and stone grey lacquer added warmth. Dark brass handle rails provided just the right note of understated luxury.

Appliances were chosen for both performance and polish - Miele’s Vitroline ovens, a venting hob, and a Quooker Nordic Twin Tap in stainless steel - alongside a custom sink sourced from the US. But the true showstopper? The Taj Mahal Quartzite worktops, with their leather finish, which sweep up to form a backlit feature wall and a sleek coffee station.

Turning Challenges into Triumphs

Like any bespoke project, surprises arose. Site delays from other aspects of the client’s renovations meant carefully storing cabinetry for months before installation. But with close collaboration - especially with the client’s electricians HM Electrical to perfect the lighting - every detail fell into place. Proximity to our Design Centre allowed frequent visits, ensuring seamless communication with builders and flawless execution.

A Kitchen That Feels Like More

The client’s reaction said it all: a space that’s as practical as it is breathtaking. From the L-shaped breakfast bar (a natural magnet for guests) to the interplay of light and texture, this kitchen doesn’t just meet expectations - it redefines them.

The Chiswick project is a reminder that the best designs aren’t just seen; they’re felt. And this one feels like home.
